Quiet moments at the old well in Ungelt courtyard, right behind Tyn Church and Old Town Square. It dates back to the 12th century as a place, where merchants from abroad had to pay customs for the goods they brought to the city. Tips: Enjoy a cup of coffee or a snack off the crowds at friendly Modrý orel (Blue eagle) café there and get some natural cosmetics, oils or teas at Botanicus, right opposite. Photo: GK

The playful and maze-like terraced gardens at the Southern slope of Prague castle, discovered only by few tourists. Tip: At the Eastern exit of Prague Castle, make a sharp right, enter the Palace Gardens, walk about 150m and look for a gate on the left, slightly lower than the path. It leads to a till, hidden in a little turret, where you pay approx. € 3 to enter. It's worth while (Open from April till October). Photo: GK
